SOUNDBITE (Catalan): JOSEP MARIA GOMES, International business developer at the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce
"This is a measure that is providing results because it not only makes it as easy as possible for business travelers or companies to go there without a visa, but also helps tourism, which is very important for the Chinese economy.
Regarding the inclusion of more countries and regions, I think it reflects not only the interests of the Chinese authorities but also the willingness of the countries to welcome the exchange with Asian investors and tourists.
We have a lot of business people who often travel to China, and we also go there. And besides reducing the cost of the trip, it's another initiative that helps boost business exchange.
During a recent trip to Chengdu, we saw more foreign people than before and all of us in our delegation were helped by the visa-free policy.
I encourage anyone who is interested to visit China, and not just to the typical large cities on the coast, but also to go into the country and see those cities that may not be so well-known to us."
