Storm Darragh hitting Peel harbour on the West coast of the Isle of Man on 7th December 2024. Filmed by Shane Stigant
Storm Darragh sent severe storm force 11 winds across the Irish Sea from the North West on 7th December 2024. The west coast of the Isle of Man was particularly exposed, Peel being the main port on that coast. Filmed by Shane Stigant from a headland to the North, the footage shows waves breaking heavily over the breakwater protecting Peel harbour, sending spray over Peel castle in the background. Still photographs taken at the time show at least one vehicle still parked on the breakwater.
