Student leaves phone behind - and captures accidental recording
A university student left her phone behind - and accidentally recorded a snapshot of campus life.
Alilya, 20, from City University, London was filming behind-the-scenes video for her magazine team when she walked off, forgetting her phone at the university's Northampton Square campus.
She only realised it was missing after walking away and raced back to find it.
Fortunately, the phone was still there and had captured the entire incident on video.
Journalism student Alilya said: "I guess my phone was the last thing on my mind."
"We were moving to a new location, and I completely forgot I'd left it recording."
When she realised her phone was gone, she panicked and checked her bag and pockets.
She said: "We were already quite far when I realized something was missing."
"I checked my bag and my pockets and panicked - it was my phone!"
Alilya and her friend sprinted back to find the phone, luckily the phone was still sitting at the gazebo.
Alilya said: "My friend screamed, ‘I see it!' and I just felt so relieved."
"I was so scared it wouldn't be there anymore."
"It's London - leaving anything unattended is risky!"
"We just laughed it off afterwards and I was surprised to see my phone still recording."
