Los Angeles, United States - December 09, 2024 12/09/2024 01:45 am (GMT-0800) SOUTH PARK, LOS ANGELES – A man suspected of assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer was arrested early Monday after leading LAPD officers on a brief pursuit that ended in a collision with a motorcyclist. The LAPD Newton Division initiated the chase around 1:45 a.m. near San Pedro and Slauson avenues, targeting a black sedan. During the pursuit, the suspect struck a motorcyclist at the intersection of San Pedro and Slauson. The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Officers took the suspect into custody at the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
