Fort Lauderdale, United States - December 06, 2024 Pediatric cancer patients at Broward Health Medical Center received an unforgettable holiday surprise on Friday, thanks to students from the American Heritage School Pre-Medical Program and the Florida Panthers. As part of the program’s 25th annual holiday party, 20 young patients were treated to a day of joy, featuring appearances by Florida Panthers mascot Stanley, Viktor the Rat, and the Panthers cheerleaders. The magic began in October when the children wrote and mailed their wish lists to the North Pole. In response, pre-medical students rallied to raise funds and personally deliver the children’s dream gifts during the celebration. This cherished event highlights the American Heritage Pre-Medical Program’s enduring commitment to supporting pediatric patients at Broward Health. The Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital, renowned for its specialized hematology-oncology care, continues to serve as a vital resource for children battling cancer and blood disorders in South Florida.
