STORYLINE:

At least 10 Palestinians were killed on Sunday in an Israeli drone attack on a gathering in central Gaza City, said the Palestinian civil defense in the Gaza Strip.
   
Civil defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said in a press statement that the victims include children and women.
   
The Israeli army has not commented on this incident yet.
   
The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement on Sunday that its troops recently completed a targeted operation to dismantle underground militant infrastructure in the Jabalia area in the northern Gaza Strip.
   
Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said in a press statement that its members destroyed an Israeli armored personnel carrier and a tank on Saturday in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
   
Israel has been conducting a large-scale offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip to retaliate against a Hamas rampage through the southern Israeli border on Oct. 7, 2023, during which about 1,200 people were killed and about 250 taken hostages.
   
The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip has risen to 44,708, Gaza-based health authorities said in a statement on Sunday.

"I live in the destroyed house because I have no other shelter, and I don't know where to go. I live in this place with my three children and my four brothers and their families. The Israeli army is targeting schools that have been turned into shelters. Any place in the school may be targeted. There are about seven schools in my area, but I cannot live in them because my children need food and water. I want to return to my home; even if it is destroyed, I can rebuild it. I want the war to stop, so I can return to it. Today, there is no life. We live the same routine every day, and things are very difficult and are getting more difficult in light of the continuing bloodshed in Gaza while the world watches us die one after the other."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Arabic): OM MOHAMMED DALLOUL, Gaza-based displaced Palestinian
"The occupation destroyed our house, and we found no place to live except this destroyed place, so we lived in it. As you know, schools have become dangerous, especially since the Israeli army often targets them, so we searched for a place and found this destroyed house, so we decided to live in it. Our life before the war was good and decent, but now it has become difficult, especially since we live in soup kitchens and charitable cooking. There are no vegetables, water, milk, or necessities, and we suffer a lot."
