This is the heartwarming moment airmen delivered Christmas toys to children in a Tennessee hospital.

The U.S. Air National Guard Airmen from the 134th Air Refueling Wing were on a mission to bring festive joy to young patients as part of their 24th annual Santa Cops operation in Knoxville on December 7.

Officials have raised over 14,000 USD (approximately 10,974 GBP), which they have used to purchase gifts.

Footage shows the kindhearted airmen buying different toys such as stuffed animals, basketballs, and even clothes and blankets.

These wrapped gifts were transported to the East Tennessee Children's Hospital, where two of the officials dressed as Mr and Mrs Santa Claus, gave the gifts to each of the patients.

Andi, a cancer patient, was even surprised by the flight officers clad in elves' costumes and carrying a teddy bear, cheering her on in the hallway with confetti to celebrate the last day of her chemotherapy.
