Rescue teams are battling to save a boy trapped in a 150ft well in India.

Aryan, 5, was playing at a field near his home when he plunged down the uncovered borewell in Rajasthan state on December 9.

Footage shows firemen lowering a camera into the well to check on the boy's condition. Excavators were also at the scene to clear a path to reach him.

District Magistrate Devendra Kumar said oxygen was being supplied to Aryan, who has been stuck for at least 19 hours.

He said: 'State and national disaster response forces and Civil Defence teams have reached the spot. Excavation is being done with JCB. Rescue efforts are being made.'

In July, a three-year-old girl was rescued after accidentally falling into 250ft open borewell near a village in Madhya Pradesh's Singrauli district.
