"Welcome to Rua do Cunha. It's a Portuguese name and it means Cunha Street. It is a narrow but bustling pedestrian street in the heart of Taipa Village."

STANDUP 2 (English): GUO YUQI, Xinhua correspondent
"Our first stop is Fong Kei Bakery, which has been here for over a century. If you come, you can buy its very famous almond biscuits, abalone puff pastry, meat puff pastry, and chicken biscuits. Today, I will visit their factory and show you how they make their biscuits."

SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): KOU CHI LON, Owner of Fong Kei Bakery
"My son is the fourth generation since my grandfather, and our shop has always been on this street.
The name 'Fong Kei Bakery' comes from my grandfather's name Kou Fong.
In the old days, there were not so many people, but after Macao's return to the motherland, the government promoted local tourism, so many foreign tourists from Southeast Asia, Europe, and America, came to Macao.
This is meat puff pastry, which was originally made of red fermented bean curd, but has been modified to make it less greasy."

STANDUP 3 (English): GUO YUQI, Xinhua correspondent
"Now, I'm at Vong Kei Cafe, which is famous for its signature clay pot coffee. I just tried it. It's incredibly smooth and has a depth of flavor. Just perfect."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): AVENTINO LAM, Owner of Vong Kei Cafe
"Our whole team wants to give off an old Macao vibe because now here is a tourist area, and we want the tourists that come into Macao to know what old Macao is like. Even our food and everything else - it's from the original taste, like our milk tea or coffee.
Before returning to the motherland, we only sold around 100 bottles a day, and then now we sell over 1,000. So there's a big difference."

SOUNDBITE 3 (Chinese): XIE SHANSHAN, Visitor
"I like the peanut butter toast very much. I ordered it every time when I visited here. I like the curry ones too, like curry beef brisket noodle and curry beef snacks."

SOUNDBITE 4 (English): AURIANE LE CORRE, Visitor
"The place is very nice like the streets, the buildings, and for now, I only tried the egg tarts, which are very good. So that's nice."
