Marine crews battled a pleasure boat fire in Seattle.

Dramatic footage shows the recreational vessel engulfed in flames near Duwamish Head Light in Elliot Bay, Washington, on December 8.

A 45ft Response Boat Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Seattle led the effort around noon, supported by Seattle Fire, the Washington State Ferry Vessel Chimacum, and several volunteers.

The vessel's only occupant abandoned the ship due to the intense fire and was rescued by a Good Samaritan. Emergency Medical Services assessed them and declined further assistance.

Fire officials said that while most of the blaze was put out, they could not fully extinguish it, so the boat was towed to shallow water at Four Mile Rock.
