The road was completed in 1954, ending the history of no modern highways in Xizang.
The highway twists its way through 13 snow-covered mountains with elevations of over 4,000 meters.
Over the past 70 years, Xizang has gradually built a comprehensive transport network composed of highways, railways, and air routes.
