Memorial to Lady Suranari who repelled Laotian invaders to Siam
Thao Suranari is regarded as a local heroine in Nakhon Ratchasima in northeastern Thailand and beyond. The wife of the city's assistant governor, in 1826 she formed a local army which defeated invading forces from Laos.
Also known as Ya Mo (Grandma Mo), her shrine is visited by people placing garlands and praying.
