Cat to the rescue: Brave cat fights off toy tiger to protect owner in China
This is the touching moment that a courageous American Shorthair cat named Tangyuan leaped to defend its young owner from what appeared to be a tiger attack, albeit staged with a large tiger toy.
On August 24, 2024, in Shandong, the video showed a young boy playfully engaging with a sizable tiger plush toy. Pretending to be attacked, the scene quickly turned dramatic as Tangyuan, despite being visibly shaken, rushed forward.
Tangyuan then fiercely bit, growled, and clawed at the toy, attempting to thwart the perceived threat to its owner.
The staged encounter ended safely, with the boy unharmed and Tangyuan proving its loyalty and bravery.
