This is the hilarious moment a bear was caught scratching its private parts - unaware of the nearby wildlife monitoring cameras.

Footage shows the wild animal relaxing in a meadow and enjoying a good scratch in Putna-Vrancea Natural Park, Romania, on December 6.

The Romsilva National Directorate of Forests said: 'Not sure how to unwind over the weekend?

'Here's an example from the forests of Putna Vrancea Nature Park, where a bear completely ignores a wildlife monitoring camera and gives us a small demonstration of relaxation.

'Bears inhabit the vast mountain forests and dense woodlands of hilly areas.

'In search of food, they travel long distances, using all their developed senses, especially their acute sense of smell.

'Their diet is predominantly plant-based but also includes fish, deer, small mammals, birds, bird eggs, and insects.

'The forests of Putna Vrancea Nature Park provide wildlife with all the necessary conditions for a healthy habitat, including food, shelter, and tranquillity.

'Putna Vrancea Nature Park is one of the 22 national and natural parks managed by the National Forest Administration - Romsilva.

'Located in the southeast of the country, in Vrancea County, it covers an area of over 38,000 hectares, more than 33,600 of which are forested.'
