This is the moment a cheating mum hides inside a sofa to avoid paying cash to her teen son.

Court officials in Yekaterinburg, central Russia, had been seeking the woman over RUB 140,000 (GBP 1,048) in unpaid child support owed to her abandoned 16-year-old son.

After tracking her to a flat in the city, bailiffs raided the place on December 10 but were told by her boyfriend that she was not home.

Footage from the raid shows the officials moving from room to room, searching for the mother.

They only find her when one of them pulls away a pile of carefully arranged throws on a sofa that seems a bit too lumpy.

As he lifts a cushion, he discovers a storage compartment beneath it, with the parent lying flat inside.

Reports say she now faces criminal charges for non-payment of debts and attempting to deceive court officials.
