This is the heartwarming moment a kind shopper fed a stray dog who was waiting patiently outside a store.

Tina Apines spotted the seemingly hungry brown canine outside the mall, prompting her to give a snack to the canine in Iloilo, the Philippines, on November 5.

Footage shows the kindhearted woman feeding the pooch with wet dog food.

Tina said: 'I'm too soft when it comes to animals. I appreciate how she patiently waits for someone to feed her or maybe just pet her.

'I grew up with cats and dogs at home, so they really have a spot in my heart.'

In recent research by the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), they concluded that there are 12 million stray dogs in the Philippines, while a single female cat can be responsible for a feral colony of as many as 30 cats in a single year.
