According to local police, on the afternoon of December 7, the tourist was captivated by the scenic views while riding Sri Lanka's coastal train. To capture a photo with the stunning landscape, she leaned out of the train despite safety concerns. However, during the ride, she accidentally struck a tree branch along the way, lost her balance, and fell off the train.

Luckily, she landed in a dense bush, which significantly cushioned her fall and prevented severe injuries, leaving her with only minor scrapes.

Sri Lanka's unique train routes and picturesque scenery attract many tourists, but the outdated train infrastructure and the lack of doors on some trains pose significant risks. Similar incidents have occurred before, prompting Sri Lanka's railway authorities to strictly prohibit dangerous actions, such as leaning out or hanging from express trains.
