This is the amusing moment a zookeeper fed a banana blossom to a mother elephant in Thailand.

The woman bought the edible flower as a treat for the majestic creature in Ayutthaya, Thailand, on June 15.

Footage shows the animal grabbing the snack with its trunk and immediately consuming it.

After eating the banana blossom, it placed its trunk on the railing, seemingly asking for more.

Thailand has up to 3,500 elephants in the wild. The population has been increasing in recent years, but it is still a fraction of the estimated 300,000 wild elephants that lived in the country at the beginning of the 20th century.

The main threats to wild elephants in Thailand are habitat loss and fragmentation, poaching, and conflict with humans.
