On December 11, in Altay, Xinjiang, following a snowfall and clearing skies, a stunning Tyndall effect appeared as sunlight merged with snow blowing off the mountaintops.

The sunlight pierced through the drifting snow, creating a bright, dazzling beam of light. Against the backdrop of snow-covered mountains, the scene appeared particularly majestic and mystical, resembling a "gateway to another dimension."

Mr. Li, who was skiing at the time, witnessed the phenomenon and described it as looking like a portal through time and space. The display lasted for over ten minutes and was accompanied by a rainbow, adding to its breathtaking beauty.

The Tyndall effect is a scattering phenomenon of light. When light passes through a medium containing tiny particles, these particles scatter the light, altering its propagation direction and creating a visible beam of light.
