US, Los Angeles: Hesperia Fiery Fatal Collision Shuts Down Interstate 15 South
Los Angeles, United States - December 13, 2024 12/13/2024 11:24 pm (GMT-0800) HESPERIA, Calif. – On Friday, December 13, at approximately 11:24 p.m., CHP officers, rescue personnel with the San Bernardino County Fire Department and the Victorville Fire Department responded to a traffic collision with fire on Interstate 15 South just north of Joshua Road. According to CHP logs, a good Samaritan on the scene attempted to pull out the lone occupant of the burning vehicle but was unsuccessful due to the vehicle doors being locked. Unfortunately, the vehicle was quickly engulfed in flames, and the occupant was pronounced deceased upon arrival by SBCoFD. CHP Logs indicate the vehicle had collided with the back of a semi-truck, causing the vehicle to immediately burst into flames. The collision is under investigation by the CHP Victorville Office.
