Waterbury, United States - December 06, 2024 Waterbury police have released dramatic body cam footage showing a suspect ramming a stolen vehicle head-on into a police cruiser during a failed escape attempt. On Dec. 6, police executed a search warrant at the home of 22-year-old Daniel Hunter. Hunter was seen entering a stolen gray Jeep Cherokee, originally reported missing from Madison. As officers moved in, Hunter attempted to flee, crashing into three parked cars, three police cruisers, and a large dumpster. Inside the vehicle, officers discovered a loaded handgun stolen from Pennsylvania, multiple stolen credit and ID cards, and distribution quantities of fentanyl and cocaine. Hunter faces 13 charges, including motor vehicle theft, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and weapons violations. He remains in custody at the Connecticut Department of Corrections on an $800,000 bond.
