Hotel employees broke an ornament and froze in an awkward seven-second stare in China.

One of the staff members pushed a bucket of water across the lobby when it rolled and nudged a platform that tipped off a display in Shandong on December 5.

CCTV footage shows the decoration with oriental designs knocking over onto the floor, which shattered into pieces.

The shocked workers stood momentarily when it broke, unable to move amid the debris.

While the decor appeared to be an expensive copper art piece, it was made of easily broken resin, so their manager did not scold them.

However, the colleagues were made to clean up after it with a broom and dustpan.
