On the morning of December 12, in a residential area in Teng County, Wuzhou, Guangxi, a 4-year-old girl was left home alone and climbed onto the balcony. She accidentally slipped outside the anti-theft window, with her head and hands stuck in the railings while her body was left dangling in midair. The situation was extremely dangerous.

At this critical moment, a passerby, Huang Xingjie, acted decisively. He rushed to the 9th floor, climbed out of a window, and scaled the building with his bare hands, successfully rescuing the girl.

It was later learned that Huang Xingjie is a renovation worker who was on his way to work when the incident occurred. As he passed the building, he noticed the girl trapped and immediately recognized the urgency of the situation. He ran to the 8th floor where the girl was located but found that her apartment door could not be opened. He then proceeded to the 9th floor. With the help of a resident there, Huang borrowed tools to open the anti-theft window, climbed out, and descended by hand to the 8th-floor balcony where the girl was trapped. Once there, he lifted the girl back into the apartment safely.

Fortunately, the girl was unharmed except for being frightened. Medical personnel quickly arrived at the scene, conducted a thorough examination, and confirmed that she was in good health.

The girl’s family rushed home upon hearing the news and repeatedly thanked Huang Xingjie and the other residents who helped in the rescue.

Authorities in Teng County, Wuzhou, plan to officially recognize Huang Xingjie’s actions as a heroic deed, publicly commend his bravery, and promote this act of righteousness to encourage more acts of courage in society.
