Injured stray dog carried away for treatment by locals in India
An injured stray dog was taken by volunteers from a local NGO to safety in India.
The pooch was found hurt near Gayatri Temple and carried by members of nongovernment organisation Atal Kamdhenu Gau Sewa Sansthan to their centre.
Footage shows good Samaritans checking on the canine on December 13 before it was transported to the institute.
The NGO's president Gaurav Mishra said: 'The team has given it treatment and is on its way to recovery.'
