Woburn, United Kingdom - December 14, 2024 [Note: Royalty free music] Woburn Safari Park is celebrating the birth of three adorable Asian short-clawed otter pups, born to proud parents Beatrix and Kovu on October 7, 2024. The tiny new arrivals are now venturing out of their den, with their big sister, Thiên thần, stepping up to help care for the family. The births are a significant step forward in the park's conservation efforts for this vulnerable species, which is classified as "Vulnerable" on the IUCN Red List. Asian short-clawed otters face numerous threats in the wild, including habitat destruction, pollution, and the exotic pet trade. As part of their care, the pups will be microchipped to monitor their health and ensure a bright future for this growing family, which now includes six otters in total. These births mark an important achievement in the ongoing efforts to support the species' long-term survival.
