Panda spotted on Hong Kong's Avenue of Stars in China
On December 7, 2024, in Hong Kong, a video captured a surprising and amusing sight on the iconic Avenue of Stars. A life-sized panda was seen standing upright on its hind legs, waving at passersby.
While the panda’s lifelike appearance caused some initial confusion, it was clear the movements were too coordinated for a real animal—revealing it to be someone in an impressively realistic costume.
The illusion was so convincing that many Chinese netizens joked, “If this panda lay in a zoo all day, no one would notice it’s fake.”
