Residents slip on ice-covered steps in Canada
This is the shocking moment residents slipped on ice-covered steps in Canada.
The couple were about to leave when both of them skidded down the stairs of their veranda on December 9.
CCTV footage shows the man holding a box and walking out of the house when he accidentally plummeted to the ground.
Upon seeing this, his partner rushed to check if he was okay, but she also slipped on the icy steps.
The duo reportedly did not sustain any serious injuries from the fall.
Approximately 65 per cent of Canada's landmass is covered in snow for more than six months of the year. Winter storms are common across the country and can include heavy snowfall, blizzards, blowing snow, freezing rain, ice storms, wind chills, and extreme cold temperatures.
