Argentina: Argentine state oil company YPF joins Vaca Muerta Sur megaproject

Neuquen, Argentina - December 09, 2022 The Argentine state oil company is joining a consortium of companies that includes Vista Energy Argentina, Pampa Energía and Pan American Sur through a stake in the company VMOS. The project, with an estimated investment of US$3 billion, will have an initial transport capacity of 550,000 barrels per day, with the potential to reach 700,000 barrels per day. YPF will have a committed transport capacity of 120,000 barrels per day. Construction of the pipeline, which will include a loading and unloading terminal with interconnected monobuoys and a tank farm and storage area, will begin immediately and is expected to be operational in July 2027.
