TikTok creator Jackie ('mommin.magically') melted hearts with a truly cool surprise: she brought real snow from Buffalo, New York, to her Florida-born sons, fulfilling their winter dreams.

Jackie, originally a Buffalo native, shared how she and her husband Greg devised the plan to deliver a bit of snowy magic to their boys. With Florida sunshine as their usual winter backdrop, her 6-year-old (who’d seen snow as a baby) and her 3-year-old (who’d never seen snow) constantly asked to visit Nani and build a snowman.

“I had to try and make this happen,” Jackie explained. Armed with a Thermos 24oz Icon Food Jar she cleverly found in the camping aisle, Jackie carefully packed fresh, fluffy snow on the morning of her flight. After a 5-hour trip back to Florida, the snow made it, perfectly intact.

As a Buffalo girl, born and raised, I couldn't wait to move down south and escape the frigid winters. My husband and I have lived in Orlando, Florida for 9 years and, as a general rule of thumb, we only visit back home over the summer when the sun is shining. Now as a mom of two young Florida born boys, they want nothing more than to play in the snow. Now that it's winter I'm asked daily if they can go visit with Nani and build a Snowman.

Early December I had to make a solo trip back up north and without fail the day after I arrived we got about a foot of snow. I will agree that to wake up and look out the window it's nothing but Christmas perfection, but, holy coldness! I couldn't wait to be back in Florida with the warmer weather. In the meantime my husband, Greg, had the idea to try and bring real snow back with me to surprise the boys. My 6 year old had only seen snow once when he was about 14 months old, and my 3 year old has never seen snow; so of course I had to try and make this happen.

A few days before I was set to head back to Florida I made a stop at Target to find the perfect transport vessel. I stood in the reusable tumbler aisle for 20 minutes looking at every single brand, style, opening size; wasn't what I needed. However... the camping aisle with containers to keep food warm was exactly what I wanted. There it was, a Thermos 24oz Icon Food Jar - perfect!

The night before my flight, I took the lid off the Thermos and put it in the freezer, that way when I put snow in right before I left hopefully it wouldn't melt because the inside was cold. The morning of my flight I lightly packed the snow in, not pressing down too hard because I was hoping it would still be fluffy when we opened it back home. I said my goodbyes, hopped on the plane, and touched down back home about 5 hours after packing the snow.

The boys had no idea it was coming, it was a true surprise. Their excitement in that moment was pure Christmas magic; a core memory everyone will remember. And now, I'm the cool mom who gave them 3 minutes of snowy bliss.
