San Fernando, Argentina - December 18, 2024 Amid the commotion caused by the accident of the private plane that crashed into a house, after it went off track when trying to land at the San Fernando airport, it was confirmed that the bodies of the victims, the pilot Martín Fernández Loza and the co-pilot Agustín Oforte, have already been removed from the cabin. However, the authorities warned about the danger of collapse of the affected property and anticipated that a security operation will begin to demolish it this Thursday morning. According to official sources of the case, the remains of the fatal victims were rescued minutes before 9 p.m. and their transfer to the morgue was arranged, where they will perform the autopsy. Likewise, it was confirmed that the Bombardier Challenger 300, registration LV-GOK, was owned by the family of Jorge Brito, the owner of Banco Macro and president of River Plate. At the same time, security forces were ordered to mount a guard at the intersection of José Terry and Charlín streets, the area where the house that stopped the plane from going off course is located. Although the crash did not cause the building to collapse, they warned that the structure was cracked and would present an imminent risk of collapse for the inhabitants of the house. The results of the autopsy will be relevant to determine whether any of them suffered any health problems prior to the plane crash. However, the preliminary assessment carried out by the Federal Police personnel raised the possibility that both died from asphyxiation caused by inhaling the carbon monoxide that accumulated inside the plane.
