A married woman was busted smuggling drugs into prison in her underwear.

Footage shows a prison guard cutting open dark pink underwear, revealing what appears to be cannabis sewn inside.

The 29-year-old visitor was reportedly attempting to deliver the drugs to her husband, who would then pass them on to another inmate at the Men's Prison of Corumba, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, on December 14 morning.

The guards became suspicious after she appeared nervous during the security search procedure while entering the prison.

Authorities confirmed she also smelt of cannabis.

The 46 grammes (1.6oz) of cannabis were seized, and the wife was arrested.

Authorities are thoroughly investigating the incident.
