Schoolboy, 12, with arms skewered in spikes of fence rescued
A schoolboy whose arm was skewered in spikes of a neighbour's fence while playing was rescued.
The youngster, 12, climbed a metal fence to retrieve a ball but his left arm pierced through while trying to hop down in Cebu, the Philippines, on November 5.
Footage shows the kid standing on a ladder placed by firefighters during the operation. He looked exhausted while waiting for the officers to extract him.
His family talked to him, calming him down before volunteers started to cut the spike off so they could rush him to the hospital.
Neighbour Rezilino Apor said: 'We heard him shouting for help so we all came out to the street. He was crying, and the rescue team was called.'
The youngster wore an oxygen mask and was taken to an ambulance on the way to a hospital for treatment.
Rezilino added the schoolboy recovered after being treated by medics.
