Los Angeles, United States - December 19, 2024 12/19/2024 12:47 am (GMT-0800) NEWBURY PARK, Calif. – A vehicle pursuit that began in Port Hueneme for felony traffic violations ended in a crash on the Wendy Drive off-ramp of the southbound 101 Freeway early Thursday morning. Port Hueneme Police initiated the pursuit, which Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies later took over as the chase moved into Camarillo. The suspect’s vehicle eventually crashed on the Wendy Drive off-ramp. Following the collision, a passenger and a dog exited the vehicle immediately. The driver, however, briefly continued driving up the off-ramp before coming to a stop. Both the suspect driver and the passenger were taken into custody without further incident. The dog was unharmed and will be turned over to Ventura County Animal Services. No injuries were reported.
