Tom Grennan is taking the Christmas Number 1 race to a whole new level! The singer has promised to tattoo George Michael's face on his leg if WHAM!'s Last Christmas beats his festive anthem It Can’t Be Christmas. And here’s the kicker—he’s getting inked no matter what happens!
The singer already kicked things off by tattooing “Christmas No. 1 2024 is…” on his thigh, leaving the big reveal for after the results drop. If he takes the crown, Tom says he’ll add “just get me” to his tattoo. But if WHAM! wins, George Michael’s iconic face will take center stage on his leg.
Speaking on BBC Radio 1, Tom gushed, “I actually want George Michael’s face on my leg.” A bold tribute to a legend!
With WHAM!, Mariah Carey, Gracie Abrams, and Tom himself all battling for the top spot, the excitement is off the charts. Tom’s festive banger It Can’t Be Christmas aims to be the pub singalong hit of the year. “I wanted a song people could belt out with a beer in hand, whether they know it or not,” he said.
