SOUNDBITE (Croatian): BRANKO BALON, President of the Croatian-Chinese Friendship Society for Cultural, Scientific and Economic Cooperation
"We are very glad to hear that China has extended its visa-free policy to Croatia. I believe this will help boost the further development of our bilateral relationship. I wish this visa-free policy could be extended after it expires at the end of next year. Because I believe it will further improve our friendship and Croatian tourists can travel to China more conveniently. Croatian business people will find it much easier to visit China. Since their duration of visa-free stays in China is 30 days, they can do a lot of things during their stays. Our Croatian people hope to see the Chinese civilization that they have only read about in books, especially now as China's achievements over the past 30 years are fascinating. There are, indeed, many places worth visiting."
