A resourceful driver transformed a spare tire on the back of his jeep into a mobile kennel for his pampered pet dog.

Footage shows the well-behaved brown dog sitting comfortably inside its custom-built house in Guangdong, China, on December 12.

The innovative setup featured a sturdy grill frame securely attached to the wheel and a soft white cushion for added comfort.

But most importantly for the driver, it allows him to take his pet dog with him on days out without the pooch scratching the seats of getting fur inside the vehicle.

The pet owner said: 'I wanted him to enjoy the scenery during our road trip. I made sure it's both safe and comfortable for him.

'It's also very useful because I can take him outside with me without the car getting dirty.'
