Zhangye, China - December 19, 2024 A disturbing incident unfolded in Linze County on December 19, when a child, identified as Ma, ran across the street twice. On the second attempt, the child was struck by a car driven by Zhang, causing the child to be thrown 10 meters from the impact. The vehicle was traveling on a road without traffic signals. Despite the driver's immediate attempt to stop, the child, not accompanied by a guardian, suddenly accelerated across the road. Traffic authorities determined that both the driver and the child’s guardian shared responsibility for the accident. Authorities urge parents to keep children supervised and away from busy roads, while drivers are reminded to stay vigilant and ready to take preventive actions.
