Workers load many sacks of goods such as cement and rice at Paotere Port in Makassar, Indonesia, on April 30, 2016. On May 1, 2016 workers around the world will commemorate The International Workers' Day to celebrate the achievement of the workers. But perhaps, many of workers can't celebrate the day due to low income such as many labors at Paotere Port experienced. Men labors in Paotere Port earn their living as a porter to carry sacks of cement, rice, flour and bean on their back. They are obliged to live as a small labor and bound to it routine, forced to works all day only for gain a few money. They only get paid between Rp.15.000 (USD 1.33) and Rp.30.000 (USD 2.67) per day. Paotere is the harbor in the north of Makassar where traditional Buginese sailing boats (phinisi) load and unload their cargo.
