This is the shocking moment a wall collapsed killing two pedestrians in Indonesia.

The family were walking along an alley next to the stone wall when it collapsed and buried them under bricks in Deli Serdang Regency in North Sumatra on December 17.

CCTV footage shows the pedestrians being struck by the falling rubble. Passers-by rushed over to pull them from under the debris.

Pancurbatu Police Chief AKP Krisnat said: 'At around 10 am, we received information from residents of Baru Village that the gas station fence wall had collapsed and hit three residents who were passing right next to the fuel station wall. As a result, two people died.'

The deceased were named by officials as Muslimah, 19, and Ika. Their mother Nuraimah, 47, survived and was placed in intensive care at the Pancurbatu Hospital.

Police said the wall was around 50ft long and 10ft high. It was part of a former fuel station that was no longer operating. They added investigations were ongoing to determine if the property owners were liable for negligence.
