Taxi driver speeds away with 'hit-and-run victim sitting on roof'
This is the dramatic moment a taxi driver sped away with an alleged hit-and-run victim sitting on the roof.
The suspected victim was spotted calmly sitting on top of the wrecked blue cab in Mumbai, India, on December 20.
Local media reported that the man climbed onto the roof of the vehicle in an attempt to prevent the driver from fleeing the scene and avoiding responsibility for the incident.
Footage shows concerned motorists pleading with the determined driver to stop. However, he allegedly ignored the onlookers and continued navigating the road on the Santacruz flyover.
The vehicle, with registration number MH 03 AX 0199, had a broken windshield and a dented hood.
Authorities in Vakola and Santacruz have said that they have not received any reports of a similar incident.
