An exhibition featuring lifestyle aesthetics of the Song Dynasty (960-1279) was staged at Changzhou Art Museum in east China's Jiangsu Province.
A group of foreigners from 13 countries and regions visited the museum on Friday to explore Chinese culture.
Dressed in traditional costumes in the Song Dynasty, they experienced incense appreciation, tea-tasting and other activities.
SOUNDBITE 1 (English): MICHELE, Brazilian visitor
"I love the fabrics. And for me, it is a great world, because I have a lot of inspiration for my art and my style of life."
SOUNDBITE 2 (English): FERNANDO TORRES, Brazilian visitor
"This is our first time in China. We are very excited to stay here. Because for us, this is a new world. We are very happy because Chinese are very friendly people."
SOUNDBITE 3 (English): RACHEL, Teacher, Changzhou Institute of Technology
"I think the (incense) smelling one was very interesting. In my country, maybe we have perfume, but we don't care so much about smell. I think maybe it's not so important for us. So in the Song Dynasty, see they so carefully made these beautiful smells. I think it's very special. There are many stores you can buy this clothing or you can wear this clothing. I see many young people are very interested in trying this. When I travel, I see many of these kinds of Hanfu, and things. I'm a teacher, so my students are all Chinese, so if I can understand some Chinese culture, then I can connect with my students. It's better, I think."
