Brothers jump for joy as they both pass Bar Exam
Two brothers jumped for joy as they both passed the Bar Exam in the Philippines.
Kelvin and Kim John Villa, who had recently taken the test to be lawyers, tuned in on the television as the Supreme Court live-streamed the result before seeing their names in Aklan province on December 13.
Footage shows the siblings becoming emotional while embracing and congratulating each other.
Kelvin said his brother graduated earlier but waited for him so they could take the exam together.
He said: 'We did not check our bar exam accounts to see if we passed or not and opted to wait for the live stream instead.
'We reviewed together since April, using the same materials and watched video lectures together.'
Kelvin added they packed their things to come home and share the good news with their family afterwards.
In the Philippines, being a lawyer is one of the most respected professions with the title carrying a social prestige. They celebrate the milestone as Filipinos often have strong family ties, and success is viewed as a shared accomplishment.
