Los Angeles, United States - December 22, 2024 12/22/2024 10:38 pm (GMT-0800) HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. k The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Industry Station and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the 16200 block of Sigman Street for a child not breathing. LASD and LACoFD, along with paramedics, transported a young child to a local hospital with CPR in progress. LASD, with multiple deputies, escorted the ambulance to Queen of The Valley Hospital in the city of West Covina in the 1100 block of South Sunset Avenue. A next-door neighbor who declined an on-camera interview told KNN ɲthat the child was found in the backyard of the residence in a pool and was rushed to the hospital with CPR in progress.˱ LASD has crime scene tape set up outside the residence where the child was located. An LASD Watch Commander, via a telephone call, confirmed that the child had passed away at the hospital, and now the incident has been turned over to detectives. The LASD had a second location taped off at Sigman Street and Eastleigh Avenue. It is unknown at this time if it's related to the first scene.
