A competitive father teamed up with his son, playing the fold paper challenge and winning.

Francis Marca joined his child Rafa at a school Christmas party game, going above and beyond to defeat the other teams in Manila, the Philippines, on December 21.

Footage shows Francis dancing around the paper with Rafa. When the music stops, he carries the boy and balances on one foot inside the folded paper.

The sheet gradually became smaller with more folds and despite almost losing balance, Francis fought to stay up with the 3st (20kg) youngster in his arms and claimed victory.

Wife and mother Jovelle said: 'My son loves to join the games. My husband is very supportive and always on the go, so he did everything he could to win.'

Christmas is deeply rooted in Filipino culture, primarily due to its strong Catholic influence introduced by Spanish missionaries in the 16th century. It quickly became the dominant religion in the country.
