A jilted girlfriend allegedly cut off her boyfriend's penis when he chose another woman over her.


The female suspect, 22, is said to have discovered her partner of eight years was cheating before planning the attack in India.

She allegedly invited him to a hotel room for what he thought would be a late-night tryst in Muzaffarnagar City in Uttar Pradesh state on December 22.

But the scorned lover confronted him about his philandering and was left devastated when he told her he would end their relationship to take up with his mistress.

The woman allegedly waited for him to sleep and then hacked his manhood with the sharp scissors she had brought along.

Residents called the police when they heard the man's agonised screams.

The cheating boyfriend was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, while the suspect was hauled to the police station in a van.

Muzaffarnagar Deputy Police Superintendent Vyom Bindal said: 'Investigations are ongoing and appropriate actions will be taken based on the findings. The police are collecting evidence and analysing the couple's call logs.'

During interrogations, the scorned girlfriend claimed her boyfriend of eight years had left her for his mistress.

Authorities said she had lured the man to a guesthouse 'for a final meeting' but they had a violent row.

The bobbitised boyfriend was moved to the Meerut Medical College for further treatment.
