Tourists reveal that 'ice formations' at Chinese waterfall appear to be just frozen ropes
On December 22, tourists visiting Song Mountain in Henan discovered that the ice formations on the Luyai Waterfall appeared to have been created using ropes.
In response, a staff member from the Luyai Waterfall scenic area admitted that the ice formations were indeed man-made. He explained that this was done to enhance the appeal and visual experience of winter tourism, creating a unique attraction.
He also emphasised that the artificial ice formations would not harm the natural environment but instead provide visitors with a new kind of tourism experience.
The staff member noted that the ice formations are not yet fully developed and still appear relatively thin. The best time to view them will be after snowfall, when the ice will be thicker and more spectacular.
