A python was found sprawled on the ground after swallowing a wild boar in Thailand.

Footage shows the huge snake with a bloated tummy struggling to move in a rubber plantation in Nakhon Si Thammarat on December 21.

A rescue team arrived to capture the reptile, measuring approximately 13ft (4m) with a swollen belly weighing over 88lbs (40kg).

Residents said there were no reports of missing persons or pets in the village, leading them to believe the python had eaten a wild pig.

Authorities then relocated the snake to its natural habitat.

Rescuers advised locals to contact experts to ensure their safety when encountering large wild animals.

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals, and even cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats, and other snakes.
