Elvis lookalike reveals secret to young looks is Sellotaping his face
A Thai Elvis lookalike revealed the bizarre secret to his youthful looks - Sellotaping his face to smooth out the wrinkles.
Somsak Prasertsuk, 78, also known as 'Grandpa Elvis', became a local online sensation for his resemblance to the American rock-and-roll icon.
Footage shows Somsak, sporting thick black hair and sideburns styled to mimic Elvis's iconic pompadour, showing off his muscular physique as he lifted weights at his home in Pattaya on December 20.
He claimed the secret to his young appearance was a healthy and protein-rich diet, regular exercise - and using sticky tape on the surface of his skin to remove the lines of ageing.
The buff pensioner said: 'It all started while I was repairing my car. I randomly decided to stick electrical tape on my face to keep it within reach for wiring.
'I was impressed by the tape's stickiness so I used it as a makeshift facelift. I noticed that it made my skin feel tighter, and I looked younger compared with my friends of the same age.'
However, Grandpa Elvis warned that the unusual beauty regimen may not be for everyone, as the tape adhesive may also cause allergies or adverse skin reactions.
The ripped grandfather further claimed that his lush hair was all-natural, aside from the dye he applies once a month to keep it black.
He added that he avoids alcohol and cigarettes, and incorporates fried eggs, chicken breasts, boiled eggs, and whey protein supplements into his diet.
He said: 'I would like to tell my fans, followers, and viewers that I am happy and delighted that they admire me.
'I'm glad that my dedication to maintaining my health and fitness is recognised.'
Elvis Presley, often called the 'King of Rock and Roll', was an American singer, actor, and cultural icon who changed music in the 1950s with his unique blend of rock, country, and rhythm and blues.
Known for hits like 'Jailhouse Rock' and 'Can't Help Falling in Love', his charismatic stage presence left an indelible mark on popular culture.
