Refrigerated trucks loaded with various fruits and vegetables quickly pass through the China-Kazakhstan agricultural products green channel at the Horgos highway port, heading towards Kazakhstan and other destinations.

Currently, there is strong demand for fruits such as apples, oranges, grapes, and pomelos in countries like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia.

SOUNDBITE (Chinese): CHEN QIANG, General manager of a trade company from Horgos
"This year, our company exports approximately 20 truckloads of fruits and vegetables daily. The efficiency of customs clearance has improved significantly, allowing us to pass through within an hour and reach the Almaty market on the same day. This is thanks to Horgos Customs adopting dedicated windows and other convenient clearance methods, plus the 'highway port and direct to apanage' mode, which have reduced the clearance time for fruit and vegetable shipments by over 40%. This greatly decreases the damage rate of produce and enhances export efficiency."
