Muralist transforms nursery into circus tent-themed playroom
A muralist has transformed a nursery into a circus tent-themed playroom.
Danielle Morrison, 35, spent three days meticulously painting red and white canopy design across the ceiling and down the walls of the 4.4m x 4.1m room.
The room was designed for one of Danielle's clients and features bold stripes and scalloped edges to mimic a traditional circus tent.
The client, inspired by Danielle's previous smaller-scale projects, wanted the unique design scaled up for her spacious home.
Danielle, from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, said: "My client had seen my work on Instagram and wanted to bring that wow factor into her home."
The transformation, captured in a timelapse video, showcases Danielle's impressive precision as she used rulers, a spirit level and frog tape to craft the playful design.
The ceiling is styled as a circus canopy with stripes extending down onto the walls.
Describing the process, Danielle said: "I started by measuring from the centre of the ceiling and used a spirit level to get the lines straight."
"I then taped the stripes with frog tape and painted them in red. "
"Peeling the tape off at the end is always the most satisfying part!"
The project cost between £50 and £70 in materials and took three days to complete.
Danielle worked entirely alone, ensuring every detail was perfect.
She said: "I'm a bit of a perfectionist."
"This one went really smoothly because I took my time to enjoy the process."
"It was very satisfying to see my client loving it more than her toddler."
